Aging in place allows you to maintain familiarity with your surroundings, stay connected to your community, and preserve a sense of independence and autonomy. It often involves thoughtful planning, home modifications, and access to necessary services and support to ensure a safe and comfortable living environment as needs change with age.
Seventy-seven percent of adults 50 and older want to remain in their homes as they age.*
Forty-seven percent of adults age 50–80 have given very little, if any, consideration to what modifications would be needed to achieve this goal.
